Mid-Century Watercolour of ‘African Drummer’ by Guy Huze. Circa 1950’s

Midcentury watercolour painting of an ‘African Dancer with drum’ by Guy Huze, circa 1950s. In the original oak frame, with gold inner frame. Beautiful vibrant blue tones, complemented by the original mount. The subject comes alive, an original work of art that would look great in both a midcentury or modernist home.

Guy Huze was a New Zealander artist who was born in France in 1912. Huze studied at the Beaux Arts Academy in Paris. He spent several years living and painting in Tahiti, and also lived in Australia.
